Wow! I am sure that most of us have entertained those thoughts on one occasion or the other. However, the truth is, that we all have to make a living. We all have to have food and shelter. The secret to being able to walk away from your present job (if that really is what you want to do) is to be able to replace or exceed our existing income.

We all have to have a Plan B. What’s your plan B? The internet is the great equalizer. it allows us to open a new business or a new store front without having to spend a large sum of money to get started. It allows us to start
working on our Plan B. I have seen people turn hobbies into a legitimate business. I have seen people with no
particular business in mind, begin to work from home after becoming affiliated with a company from home.

The old business model is suffering a slow death. You already have the security you need to become successful. That security is the “belief in yourself.” I encourage you to explore the internet and what it can do for you.

It used to be that the only way someone could be successful in business was to buy a Yellow Pages
ad, purchase Newspaper or print advertising, or invest heavily in Television or Radio advertising.
It was almost impossible for the “little guy” to get started in business unless he had some serious
financial resources. Today, that is not the case.

If you have a burning desire to succeed….you can! Social Media is “word of mouth advertising on Steroids.”
If you have a better product or service than your competition you can capitalize on the power of
Social Media by engaging your customers.

I hope the title caught your attention.  I am just taking a minute to drop everyone

a quick note.  We have been talking about ” making a decision” to take charge of

yourself and your business.  I hope that everyone has decided to invest in

themselves.  You can do that by turning your hobby into a part-time business,

turning your passion into a revenue creating venture, buying a franchise, or

joining a direct sales or network marketing company.  I love network marketing

because I am able to surround myself with high energy, positive, people who

love what they are doing. If you do not do anything else, pick up a motivational

book or listen to a motivational speaker while you are out in the marketplace.

Many of you may be having a difficult time with today’s economy. 

Companies are downsizing, commissions are being cut, financial problems…

well, you get the picture.

There is nobody that is going to be as concerned about you, your family

or your future, as you are.  Did you know that during the last recession,

some of the largest companies in the USA began their future.   I am sure

you have heard of Microsoft, Dell, etc. just to name a few.  The point of this

is very simple. It is certainly an old but very simple example.  Do you see

the glass half-empty…or do you see the glass half-full.  It is time to take

charge of your life and of your future.  It is time to think about doing something

for yourself.  Start a home business or begin to think about your special skill sets

 and “what you bring to the party.”
